Lazy River Walk Workout

There's nothing lazy about it! Come join us on an adventure as we workout with and against the current of our Lazy River. This is an effective exercise for people of different ages and fitness levels and will:
-Improve endurance, flexibility, range of motion, balance and coordination
-Improve cardiovascular function and slow bone density
-Improve core strength in a way that is not possible on land

Turbulence in the water compares to the resistance you experience in aquatic exercise and creates an unstable environment, encouraging the core muscles of the body to become stronger to maintain proper position and posture.

Aqua Fitness

Instructor: Pam Garland

Movement, water and music - This will be a fun workout where you can pace yourself according to your personal fitness level and objectives. This class will be held in the therapy pool and will include high and low intensity exercises covering all muscle groups. You don't need to know how to swim and you will not get your hair wet.

Water Workout for All Ages

Instructor: Tina Chronister

Water aerobics are great for all ages and abilities. The resistance of water gives an overall body workout without damaging the joints. We use buoyancy equipment, webbed gloves, water shoes, and other devices to add to the degree of difficutly and push the student to any level of fitness they desire. The class is held in the therapy pool and uses music and special choreographed routines to maximize fun and results.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
